My Story
Why I Juice
If you’ve read my about page, you might know that I was diagnosed with CML (Chronic Myelogenous Leukemia)—a type of blood cancer. Before I started treatment, this disease completely drained my strength. I remember feeling a heavy weakness in my legs just trying to run fast, and waking up drenched in night sweats despite sleeping with the AC on full blast.
On the day of my diagnosis, I relied solely on my prescribed medication, thinking everything would just automatically work out. But as time went on, I wasn’t hitting the remission milestones my doctor had set. Frustration crept in. What is wrong with my body? Why can't I achieve remission like everyone else? I questioned myself constantly. My doctor didn't offer any dietary advice other than a reminder to just take the medication regularly.
An important note: If you are battling cancer or any illness, it is absolutely vital to follow your doctor’s guidance and stick to your treatments. Juicing is never a substitute for medical care. However, we also have a personal responsibility to look at what we put into our bodies and take control of our overall lifestyle.
Determined to find a way to improve my odds, I began surfing the internet for answers. Across YouTube, blogs, and healing forums, I kept running into stories about carrot juicing as a powerful tool to help fight cancer. Intrigued and looking for any leverage I could get, I decided to give it an honest try.
The next day, I bought a juicer for around $100. It wasn't cheap for me at the time, but I realized health is true wealth. Investing in a machine was infinitely better than the terrifying alternative of switching to more aggressive medical treatments—especially chemotherapy, which I dreaded because needles are my absolute weakness.
On day one, I pressed about 500ml of pure carrot juice. It was surprisingly amazing—crisp, sweet, and incredibly refreshing. I started a routine of drinking it cold over ice every single morning while working.
After a few weeks of absolute consistency, I went in for regular bloodwork. My results had dramatically improved. My doctor was genuinely shocked and asked me what I had been doing. Because conventional medical doctors are strictly bound to recommend only large-scale, peer-reviewed clinical research, she couldn't officially attribute it to the carrots, but simply told me: "Keep doing whatever it is you are doing."
I stuck purely to carrots for a few months, but eventually, my blood markers plateaued. It forced me to think deeper: Is a single vegetable really all my body needs? There is a whole world of diverse plants out there, and I realized I needed a broader variety of exposure to fight this disease. The next thing I incorporated was celery. To me, straight celery juice tasted exactly like soy sauce—it had a deep, savory bitterness and aroma. But when blended into the carrot juice base, it balanced out beautifully.
"My results improved further, then plateaued again. I repeated the cycle, adding more varieties of vegetables every time my markers leveled off."
That cyclical evolution brings us to what Chillgreen is today. Over time, I have engineered distinct categories of therapeutic juices—greens, reds, and blended smoothies—to feed my body a dense baseline of nutrition that is humanly impossible to achieve through chewing alone.
Trying to eat that mountain of raw vegetables in your daily meals would cause extreme bloating from the pure bulk of insoluble fiber, not to mention it would take hours to sit and chew. Juicing solves this completely. It strips away the mechanical strain, allowing you to drink the pure nutrient payload effortlessly.
And let's be real: some of these raw therapeutic vegetables taste incredibly bitter on their own. The secret trick to making juicing sustainable and enjoyable is the art of mixing. By strategically balancing earthy greens with a hint of sweet or sour fruits, you turn medicine into a ritual you actually look forward to.
Whether you are managing a serious health condition or simply want to elevate your wellness parameters, juicing is an undeniable game-changer. It saturates your system, fills you up, and eliminates the need for synthetic vitamins because your glass is already living proof of nature's best design.
