The Protein Source
- Seitan chunks (made with 40g vital wheat gluten powder)
Homemade BBQ Sauce
- Sieved tomato sauce (120g, canned)
- Soy sauce or Liquid Aminos (2 tbsp)
- Paprika powder (2-4 tbsp)
- Apple cider vinegar (2 tbsp)
- Sugar or zero-calorie sweetener (to taste)
- Black pepper
Aromatics & Veggies
- Red onions (sliced)
- Orange carrots (chopped)
- Dried seasonings (to taste)
Fresh Toppings
- Mixed sprouts
- Fresh cilantro
Simple Method
- 1Combine your 120g of sieved tomato sauce into a small pot with paprika powder, vinegar, soy sauce, and sugar, then simmer for a few minutes and taste to check if it's smoky enough.
- 2Add to your plate with the air-fried seitan, fresh sprouts, chopped carrots, and 1/3 of your warm BBQ sauce, then season everything with dried seasonings and top with cilantro.
